The Battle of the East and West

The most awaited match of the decade dubbed as "The Battle of the East and West", the match between Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Ricky "Hitman" Hatton. It is a boxing light welterweight superfight for the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and The Ring light welterweight (super lightweight) championship. The bout will be between Manny Pacquiao of General Santos, Philippines and Ricky Hatton from Manchester, United Kingdom.

The superfight will be held on May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas at Las Vegas, Nevada, United States or May 3, 2009 (Philippine Time).

Roach predicted that the fight won't last for more than three rounds and definitely there will be a knockout , let's just hope and pray that Pacquiao will win on this fight. Go Pacman!!!

If you are living in Pasig City (Philippines), you can watch "The Battle of the East and West" free on the big screen, just go to Pasig stadium and if you have patience to watch the delayed telecast, just tune in your television on GMA 7, courtesy of Solar Sports. :D

The Dream Match has been called a mismatch, from what I see and observed Dela Hoya is much taller, and has longer reach than Manny but Manny's is much quicker and has a power punch. If Pacquiao can control the phase of the game on the first and second round that will be a sign that he has a chance of winning. (more...)
