It’s another medical breakthrough. With two successful operations of two blind British patients who had been blind for several years gives hope to the many blind people who would love to get another chance into seeing the world in its full glory or to at least have a different view of the world and not live in total darkness.
So how does this bionic eye technology work? The doctors make an implant behind the retina which would be receiving electronic signals translated from the images captured by the camera found on the sunglasses that the patient will be wearing. Depending on the electrodes in the implant, an image is formed. 6 years ago, there are only 4 electrodes for the implants being used that translate to a very blurry black and white image. Now, 60 electrodes are available but even with this great improvement, the patient would still be getting blurry black and white images. They would be getting images but they still can’t recognize faces yet. In the future, doctors are aiming to create bionic eyes that could give not only black and white images, but images with colors and is a lot more detailed.
This new technology still has a long way to go before the blind can fully benefit from it. In the future, doctors are hoping that the blind would get to see the faces of their loved ones again. For now, having a blurry black and white image is enough to give hope to those who desperately wants to experience living out of the darkness.
For now, doctors are testing this bionic eye technology to many blind patients and are happy with the results although they know that this technology is still making its baby steps and is years away from producing clear and colored images. They estimate that it will take 5 more years before they could successfully implant high electrode implants with 1000 electrodes or even more.

Microsoft should now be trembling on its feet as more and more people are switching to Apple especially with the release of their new Apple’s iMac.
With a speed of up to 3.06 GHz and running on Intel Core 2 Duo processors, this PC is definitely the fastest ever produced by Apple.
There is a 20-inch and a 24-inch iMac that you could choose from. The 20-inch iMac comes with either a 2.4 GHz processor or a 2.66 GHz processor. The 24 inch, on the other hand, runs in 2.8 GHz or 3.06 GHz processor. Apart from its other features, the best thing about the Apple iMac is its versatility. A regular PC has lots of wirings that you need to connect to the CPU. Moving around or cleaning a regular PC can be stress-provoking but this problem is no longer an issue with the new iMac. You may wonder how it can operate without a CPU but that’s what makes this new PC wonderful. Now, your monitor is also your CPU so it takes lesser space and creates less clutter.
With the addition of iMac lures more people to switch from Microsoft to Apple. Well, you also have to add that Apple is known to be a lot more stable system and is less susceptible to spyware or virus attacks unlike with Microsoft. Sure it may take a little practice before you’d get used to this switch but then the MAC OS X Leopard makes your computer experience a lot more colorful and entertaining. Watching movies and photos are clearer than what you’ve been stuck with and also, Safari lets you browse the internet faster and more secure.
If all these still don’t interest you, just take a look at the new iMac. Surely you’d be captivated by its beauty. Check out the LCD screen resolution. It’s like seeing all these wonderful images becoming alive in front of your eyes.

Thou shalt not blink by Bearwin Meily sino nakapanood kanina sa QTV ? ang lupet, grabe ng teleportation parang Son Gokuo. From GMA7 to his house in Cainta inabot lang ng seconds or minute. One continuous shot, no camera tricks.
Summary of Birthday presentation of Bearwin Meily "Thou Shalt Not Blink".
Bearwin Meily has done it again and had fascinated the viewers of his show entitled “Thou Shalt Not Blink” which was aired from 9 to 11 pm on April 27 at QTV. This comedian turned magical entertainer had fascinated everyone who have seen his different magic tricks as taped during his 2-month stay in California. What’s the most fascinating of all his tricks was his teleportation. He teleported from the GMA-7 studio to his home in just 90 seconds! There were no camera tricks and no editing done but only real, one continuous shot that has never been done or seen in a television show ever.
In preparation for this finale, Bearwin had trained with Jaime Licauco who is a renowned parapsychologist. He said that teleportation does not require any form of supernatural power as long as you train well enough and learn how it is done. We’ve had different teleportation incidents not just in other countries but even in the Philippines as well. Jaime Licauco knows a lot about these incidents through his research which is why Bearwin’s training with Jaime Licauco was essential for him to actually do it perfectly.
In Bearwin’s final performance for the show, he first showed himself in the GMA 7 studio which is located in Timog Avenue corner EDSA. From there, he pointed through a map to show how far the Network Center is from his house and in just 90 seconds or so you would already see him in his house. It was an amazing trick that nobody has ever done before on TV! Many speculations arise whether or not the teleportation was just a camera trick and not a real teleportation. We may never truly know what this amazing Philippine version of David Blaine did to create that shot but it was astonishing to say the least.
Da Bear is an amazing magician and his tricks amazed not only the Filipinos but many Californians as well. What else does this man have in store for his next shows? Let’s just wait and see.
First time to sa Philippine television! Hanga talaga ako sayo Bearwin. Mabuhay ka!

Patapon is a newly-released game for Sony PSP. It’s a game filled with fun and adventure. You must command the Patapon troops through 6 varying drumbeats that will command them to either march, attack, defend, retreat, to use magic or to power up. You command the Patapons in their fight against the Zigotons and different monsters. Combine chains of drum beating to win levels and to lead your Patapon troops to victory.
The Patapon tribe was driven from their home by the Zigoton army and now, with your drum beating help, they are fighting their way against the army that once drove them away from their beloved home. You use the command keys of your PSP to make the drum beats. Marching makes the drum beat, PATA PATA PATA PON which corresponds to square, square, square and circle. Attach is PON PON PATA PON which corresponds to circle, circle, square circle, Defending makes the drum beat CHAKA CHAKA PATA PON which corresponds to triangle, triangle, square, circle. There are 3 more drum beats that you must learn and master and then you make chains of commands for your cute little Patapons.
The music of this game is entertaining and dramatic. It makes you feel like you’re witnessing a tribal ritual dance and you just never get tired of the same rhythm playing over and over again. The game is unique! Who would have thought drum beating can fight off evil monsters? Also, you get to play their mini-games where you earn bonuses and more upgrades for your little Patapons. With over 30 missions, you would definitely get good value for your money. It’s fun, entertaining and also challenging. You build your army and create new Patapons. In order to win, you must strategize in developing your army. There are different Patapon characters such as Yaripon, Hatapon, Tatepon, Yumipon, Kibapon, Priestess Meden, Pan the Pakapon, Rah Gashapon and Fah Zakpon. These Patapon characters have their own position in the tribe and the warriors have different limitations so you must build up a good troop considering that each member has his own weaknesses and strengths.
This game is fun for all ages. It’s a must-have and you’ll enjoy playing it for hours! You may even end up singing PATA PATA PATA PON the whole day!
