Dead Monster Washes Ashore in Montauk

dead monster in montauk

On July 29, 2008, a photo posted on the popular blog Gawker appeared to depict the dead carcass of a supernatural creature, with the body of a hippopotamus and the head of a reptile. The photo was allegedly shot on the beach in Montauk, New York.

Some comment from gawker.com readers.

"It appeared to be a turtle, without its shell or a dog, the skin has been degloved by bloating in the salt water. It looks like it has a beak because the upper front teeth have been knocked out - that's the maxillary bone."

"Anything missing from Plum Island? That is the facility being spoke of I believe. Anthrax, hoof & mouth - they got it all. That is my factoid of the day."

"FWIW, Plum Island - the veterinary research facility - was also to be the home of Hannibal Lector, in the Silence of the Lambs. LAMBS, people! COINCIDENCE?? That's a silent fucking lamb mutation, washed ashore in sweet embrace of death's mint jelly. Or something."

  1. I think it’s a dog that’s been experimented on.

Animal DNA & cloning experiments are not unheard of.
