Manny Pacquiao’s Unanimous Win over Joshua Clottey

The fight that we’ve all been waiting for had proven that Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao is indeed a great fighter that even the bigger guy, Joshua Clottey, didn’t stand a chance. Manny Pacquiao defended his welterweight belt against the Ghanian fighter Joshua Clottey with a unanimous win after 12 rounds. Manny Pacquiao won on all the 12 rounds.

Joshua Clottey was a defensive player in all the 12 rounds and gets over 30 shots per round only while Manny Pacquiao does not go less than 90 shots per round. With the heavy defense of Clottey, Manny still managed to get several heavy shots from the first round and all Manny points for each round. On the second round, Clottey was able to land some good jabs too but still, Manny Pacquiao dominated. Third, Manny caught Clottey with a left uppercut while Clottey was successful with his straight right hand. In the fourth round, Pacquiao threw a double-handed punch which the referee warned him about. From 5th to 12th rounds, Manny Pacquiao continued to dominate while Joshua Clottey was hesitant with opening up and landing some shots on Pacquiao. (more...)

The game is on. Manny Pacquiao would be battling against the former welterweight champion, a Ghanian boxer named Joshua Clottey. Pacquiao vs clottey fight will be held in the Cowboys Stadium in the United States. Joshua Clottey is the next choice of Manny Pacquiao after his fight against Mayweather ended up in court and the fight of the decade was eventually cancelled.

Joshua Clottey is one tough fighter and it’s obvious that Manny Pacquiao is looking for a challenge as he progress in his boxing career. Joshua Clottey has impressive boxing stats with 35 wins, 3 losses and 20 knock outs. His last fight was with Cotto in June of last year but unfortunately loss by a split decision.

Manny Pacquiao is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world and he’s one tough guy to beat. His boxing stats are 50 wins, 3 losses, 2 draws and 38 wins via Knock out. His last fight was also with Cotto on November of 2009 and won via TKO.

The fight would be tight but many say they still favor Pacquiao as the winner but will Clottey dominate in the ring and shock the Pacman team? Let’s all wait and see.

The fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto was indeed a battle between two great boxers. Respect to Miguel Cotto, he was a strong fighter. He hit Manny Pacquiao with so much intensity that Manny Pacquiao found himself on the ropes a few times. Unfortunately, Manny Pacquiao is just tougher than he is and the best man won the fight. Manny Pacquiao won by TKO on the 12th round when the referee called the fight as Miguel Cotto just kept on evading the hits of Pacquiao.

Now that Manny Pacquiao won against Miguel Cotto, he was able to make a world record. It was indeed a historic win for him as he bagged the 7th title in 7 weight divisions which made him one of the best boxers of all time. The Filipinos are never prouder of Manny Pacquiao. His amazing performance on the ring can not be ridiculed. He is one of the best, if not the best, fighters of today.

For those who missed the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto then you missed out on the excitement. Everybody was on their toes, as both fighters went head to head. On the first 2 rounds it seems like Manny Pacquiao was having a hard time figuring his moves against the stronger boxer but on the 3rd round we all knew it was going to be a win for Pacquiao when he knocked down Miguel Cotto. It was an amazing fight that you can watch over and over again and feel the pride for Filipinos as Manny Pacquiao proved that he is an amazing fighter. It would surely be the fight of the decade if it will push through.
